You can reach Anglesey from the east and south on the A55 and A5, by-passing Bangor and then crossing the Menai Straits. As soon as you cross the bridge, turn left and then left again on to the A4080 at Llanfair P.G. This road takes you in a south-westerly direction parallel to the coast.

After Newborough village, you pass through a section of the forest before reaching Malltraeth. The cottage at 37 High Street, Malltraeth is the first on the left after the bridge, adjacent to the estuary.
